Down under travelling

One of the fellows we met on carts near our hotel had offered to take us to the meeting Sunday rather than find our way on the bus.

So him and his wife came to get us and we enjoyed getting to know them a little.

It’s great to go to a meeting around the world and be in unison with the material covered and thoughts and standards practiced. We feel like we’re with ‘family’ right away. I’d taken some ‘year text’ cards I’d made to share when I could and had a few left so I shared with a few we particularly spoke with. Even the WT we studied that morning was of the same theme!

After the meeting, the couple who drove us, took us back to their home for lunch and a visit. We had such a lovely time getting to know one another.

Like a few others we met, we will keep in touch. Several told us they do plan a trip to N. America in the next while so will certainly see if we can meet up. We will be happy to return the generous hospitality we experienced here.

Too hot for much else that day…. A walk and paddle in the water before the sun went down. Cooler then.
